The Luminous Mysteries

The Luminous Mysteries, introduced by Pope John Paul II, illuminate the public ministry of Jesus. They reveal Christ as the Light of the World and guide us deeper into the mysteries of our salvation.

Matthew 3:13-17

Virtue

Openness to the Holy Spirit

Reflection

In baptism, we are united with Christ and become children of God, called to live in His light.

Scripture

John 2:1-11

Virtue

Trust in Mary's Intercession

Reflection

Mary tells us, "Do whatever He tells you." Through her, we come closer to her Son.

3

Scripture

Mark 1:14-15

Virtue

Conversion

Reflection

The Kingdom of God is at hand. Let us repent, believe in the Gospel, and follow Christ.

4

The Transfiguration

Jesus is transfigured on Mount Tabor before Peter, James, and John. His face shines like the sun, and Moses and Elijah appear, speaking of His coming passion.

Scripture

Matthew 17:1-8

Virtue

Desire for Holiness

Reflection

Christ reveals His divine glory and strengthens us for the crosses we must bear.

5

Institution of the Eucharist

Luke 22:14-20

Virtue

Adoration

Reflection

The Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life. In it, we receive Christ Himself.
